AAPA Website Adds RSS

RSS IconThe AAPA website recently added the ability for users to track new content via the RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) protocol.

Experienced RSS users know what to do -- click on the RSS icon located at the bottom of the page and add AAPA to your RSS feed. Then, whenever a new article, news item, event, etc. is added to the site the headline and summary will appear in your RSS reader. A click on the item will open it up, and you can see what is new.

If you haven't used RSS, you may need to do some research on how to best set it up for your browser, operating system, or mail application. It's extremely easy to use from the SafariInternet Explorer, or Firefox browsers, and also from Microsoft Outlook. The Chrome browser has a number of RSS add-ons; the one I use is Feedly.

Many websites use RSS, and having them "fed" into an RSS reader allows you to see new content from many sites using a single application.

If you would like to read more about RSS, there is a Wikipedia article, or you can explore RSS using your favorite search engine.
