Atlas of Early Printing in Europe

The recently appointed Librarian of the Folger Shakespeare Library comes from the University of Iowa.  Greg Prickman has been the curator for more than 20 exhibitions at Iowa and is the creator of The Atlas of Early Printing, a digital, publicly accessible map depicting the development of printing in Europe in the 15th century that uses GIS mapping.  The Atlas includes more than a map - it has historical notes and an animation of a wooden hand press in operation.  Worth a look!
