April Picks!

April Picks!
Here in Wisconsin, we too are in the midst of the Corona Virus.  In December 1918 my Father's sister Minnie and husband August both died of the Spanish Influenza, along with many other people in that neck of the woods.  Fast funerals and burials.  Hauled the caskets 12 miles on a sleigh pulled by the Zillmer team of horses.   They left a paper trail of legal and photograps memorabilia  Which I did inherit.

So now in 2020 this too shall pass.

So Number One on my pick of the month is  Bob Porterfield's essay on 'From China With Love'.  Seventeen years ago Russ and I took a bus tour of China.  We had delicious food, and water and they did not take us to the food markets.  It was November and snow and ice, but we did walk the Great Wall of China.  Good trip.

And a new comer to the bundle was from Anatomic Air Press or Virdis Venefica and also a post card for us to return with our comments.  May we see more of her commentaries.

The Cottageville Press by Mark McComas I liked because of the old Royal Typewriter on the front.  How many machines like that have gone to the dump, including several of mine.

All good inserts in Heather's bundle that she worked so hard to fill.  Thank you Heather!
